A key part of the full aliveness that God wants for me is periodic rest – what the Bible calls Sabbath.
I set aside three or four mini-sabbaths daily. I set my phone to remind me every three of four hours, and when the alarm goes off I take a short walk, inhale a few deep breaths (shallow breathing is often a result of going the speed of life), sit back in my chair, relax, and say a prayer of thanks.
(OK. I stopped at the end of that last sentence and just sat back, relaxed my shoulders, my neck, my arms, my hands, my legs. Wow. What a recharge! Try it!)
Here’s my question: If an Ever-ready Bunny runs into your foot, does he get charged with battery? (Sick, huh?)
