Jesus said he came to give us life in ALL of its fullness. What is ‘aliveness’ – fully alive life?
Aliveness is, among other things, living a love-based life. It is having this thought, “God loves me,” our most dominant, most recurring thought.
This isn’t theory to me. 18 months ago God showed me that my life was sitting on a ‘production-based self-esteem’ foundation. He told me he would like to jack up the house, knock out the old foundation, and resettle my life on his unstoppable, unconditional, undeserved love. Over the last year and a half he has showing me how to arrest old ways of thinking (“I need to do this and this and this so I’m OK with God, with others and with myself.”) and build new mental pathways (“God really loves me, even if I never do another thing. God loves me because of who he is, not because of who I am.”)
