Don’t Worry

1,440 minutes in a day. 365 days in a year. A person who lives to be 90 lives 47,304,000 minutes. I wonder how many of my 47 million minutes I will spend worrying?

Worry puts its bony fingers around the neck of ‘enjoyment’ and chokes it almost to death. Enjoyment is a ‘now’ thing, and worry takes you out of the now and projects you into a haunted future. 95% (or maybe 99.9%) of the things we worry about don’t ever come to pass.

Here’s some great advise from a man named Joshua (Jesus in English): “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” (Matthew 6:34 – The Message)

Live in the now. Enjoy the present moment!
