I love this quote from Larry Crabb’s book “Connecting”:
“So often we must move through a season of death to come to a richer experience of life. I have experienced death in the presence of my wife and a few friends. … they have poured into me hope that death precedes life, that death to self is the route to finding oneself, that crucifixion means Resurrection is coming.” (Page 100-101)
“Death to self is the route to finding oneself.” You get that from the teachings of Jesus. Not from feel-good seminars.
