Glow

This Christmas Eve at Westside (five services, South Campus 2  & 4 pm;  North Campus 1 , 3 , 5 pm) our theme is ‘Glow.’

This guy named John, perhaps Jesus’ closest friend on earth, actually saw Jesus glow twice.  The scriptures say God glows with a dazzling brightness.  If that is true, if the One who created all things glows, we should expect to see some glowing in his creation.

Do we ever!  From fireflies to starry skies, glow is everywhere.  I went deep into a cave in New Zealand two years ago and actually saw little living glow-sticks – glow-worms that contain neon lights.

Here’s a picture of bio-luminescence in the ocean:

Hope to see you at one of the services (or, watch on the web).  One way or another …

… go for the glow!
